Acceptance

By creating an account or using Diarist (diarist.live), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What Diarist is

Diarist is a live writing platform. Writers compose in real time and readers can watch keystrokes as they happen. It's a tool for honest, open writing — not performance.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Diarist.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• One account per person. Do not impersonate others.

Your content

You own the content you write on Diarist. By publishing it, you grant Diarist a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content to readers through the platform. You can delete your content or your account at any time.

You agree not to post content that is:

• Illegal or incites violence or harm.
• Hateful, harassing, or targeted at individuals.
• Sexually explicit without appropriate context.
• Spam, advertisements, or designed to deceive readers.
• Infringing on the intellectual property of others.

What we can do

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms, suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the platform, and update these terms with reasonable notice.

Service availability

Diarist is provided “as is.” We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for data loss, downtime, or other service disruptions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Diarist is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability in any situation is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for free accounts, is zero).

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes shall be resolved in Swedish courts.
